Needless to say, Omar Boraie began buying those old deteriorating buildings, then went to the city with his plan. They thought he was crazy, but yes, they approved his plan. One result of his plan was the Albany Street Plaza Tower One. It offered business much needed Class A office space and added money to the coffers of the city. Later another tower was constructed and completed in 2003 and is located next to the first Tower.

As the city grew, Omar saw new opportunities and needs. He began to build a twenty-five story building that would contain residential units, office space, a massive garage, a barbecue area and a dog walk area. To the surprise of many, the building was at full capacity within 2 months.

Omar’s son, Sam Boraie, is currently the Vice President of Boraie Development, LLC, He is expanding his father’s dream to not only include New Brunswick, but also the Atlantic City area.

Sam’s outreach can not only be seen with the family business but also in his charitable work. Sam, the family and the business has made donations to the State Theatre. This has allowed the theater to have several productions within the New Brunswick area several times during the year.
